New How-to Guide
Choosing, Installing and Replacing Voice Modems
June 7, 2010 Bedford, NS – Due to the non-standard ways in which different brands of voice modem interact with Windows Operating Systems, Trihedral pre-sales engineer Blair Sooley has created a How-to guide to help VTS software application developers select, install and replace these devices.
This document is intended for VTS developers using the voice dial-out feature of the VTS Alarm Dialer, an optional component of VTS.
“Our technical support team has provided a lot of help to customers going through this process over the years and I wanted to bring that information together in one place.”
Sooley cautions that these procedures are intended only for users with high-level skills in VTS software and Windows operating systems. “Proper modem installation and configuration can be difficult and time consuming. If you experience difficulties during this process, you should contact Trihedral Technical Support (1-800-463-2783) right away.”
This guide is available from the VTScada software Internet forum.
