Users can dial into the SCADA system through the embedded VTS Alarm Dialer to obtain status and alarm information for any telemetered device.
This feature is primarily used in telemetry systems to allow maintenance & operations personnel to check the status of a particular remote station.
As with outgoing voice calls, a user may listen to alarms and choose to acknowledge them during the call. Additionally, he/she may also change setpoints, such as the high level for station, a request to start or stop a pump, or send digital commands to equipment.
