The VTS Alarm Dialer is an optional software product integrated into VTS that allows users remote access to their process and system data over the phone.
Users can log into their applications using the same application-specific security accounts they use to log into their onsite workstations. Once they are logged in, they are able to obtain the status and alarm information for any telemetered device.
The VTS Alarm Dialer also distributes alarms via email, paging and text-to-voice and permits users to acknowledge alarms over the phone during text-to-voice calls. Rosters of multiple contacts can be configured to ensure that alarms do not go unacknowledged.
