System-Wide Security Accounts
Each VTS application includes its own set of security accounts and settings which control access to all parts of the application including local workstations, Internet clients, WAP clients and the alarm dialer. All changes to security settings are immediate and application wide.
Greater Control with Privilege-Based Accounts
The VTS Security Manager allows you to tailor each user’s privilege-based account to their specific responsibilities. Use a pre-made set of privileges to grant access to features such as alarm display and alarm acknowledgement. Create new privileges as required.
Enhanced Password Protection
Ensure passwords exceed a minimum, length contain alphabetic, numeric or special characters or expire.
Email Server Protection
Supports SMTP email servers requiring Transport Layer Security (e.g. Gmail™) when sending alarm notifications.
Group Management
VTS allows you to control who can see what information within large applications. For example, if an application monitors two separate plants, operators from each plant can be grouped so that they see only the alarms and tags from their respective plants. A third group for managers can be set up to see information from both plants.
