The VTS Internet Server is an embedded component of VTS, which allows monitoring & control activities from any computer running Microsoft Internet Explorer™ version 7 or 8.
The component is a true Internet server in that it does not require any 3rd party Internet server product, such as Apache™ or Microsoft IIS™.
Included with the purchase of this component is one concurrent VTS Internet Client license, and additional clients can be added to meet the needs of any customer. When accessing the application using the Internet/Intranet (thin) client, users see all application displays exactly as they are displayed on standard (thick) clients.
The VTS Internet Server is used in all types of applications and, like all components of VTS, supports automatic failover to redundant backup servers. Clients switch from the primary to backup Internet Server in a fraction of a second.
