VTScada includes driver support for a variety of telemetry device protocols, including industry standard protocols, open protocols, and proprietary protocols. Proprietary communications methods often force customers to purchase expensive hardware from a single-source manufacturer and force the customer to use a proprietary SCADA software interface to communicate with the hardware.
Trihedral continues to develop drivers to communicate with legacy and presently-available telemetry devices, providing customers the freedom to replace their SCADA software, keep their existing proprietary devices, and purchase new devices from the manufacturer of their choice. Customers are free to shop for hardware that meets their needs at a price that suits their budgets, without proprietary constraints.
