Since telemetry devices share a common, often costly communications link, making efficient use of that link can reduce the need for expensive infrastructure improvements as SCADA systems grow or as new types of telemetry devices are added. VTScada's polling management automatically organizes polling cycles and communications channels to simplify device communications and reduce application development time.
Devices may be grouped into sets of devices with similar communications channels (i.e. radio, wireless Ethernet gateway), allowing each group's polling cycle to act independently. VTScada can also combine dissimilar protocols over the same communications channel, reducing infrastructure costs considerably.
