Laptop and PC Demos

Online applications are made available via our VTS Internet Client (VIC) product.

  • Demos run in Internet Explorer only. (Vista users read note below)
  • You may need to Enable ActiveX controls. (see instructions below)
  • Vista users need to install a small utility from Microsoft to view some features.
  • The Active X plug-ins only work in the 32-bit version of Internet Explorer 9. (32-bit IE 9 is the default.)

SWFWMD Public AccessVTS allows the Southwest Florida Water Management District (SWFWMD) to fulfill its obligations under Florida’s ‘Government-in-the-Sunshine’ policy.  A VTS Internet Client provides public access to live (read-only) water quality and flood control information. Try it for yourself.

How to use it

- Tap the Overview page to see a list of values being monitored.
- Tap a value to bring up the trend window. Pinch to zoom in and out.
- Tap the VTScada logo to go to the top menu.

 

 

To Enable ActiveX Controls

  1. Click the 'Tools' menu and then 'Internet Options'
  2. Select the 'Security' tab
  3. Select the ‘Internet’ security zone
  4. Click the ‘Custom Level’ button
  5. Scroll down to ‘ActiveX controls and plug-ins’
  6. Enable ‘Automatic prompting for ActiveX controls’
  7. Click ‘OK’ and then 'OK' again to return to Internet Explorer
