Ack Shown Button

The Acknowledge Shown Button tool in the Alarm Tools library enables you to draw a button that can be clicked to acknowledge all un-acknowledged alarms shown in the named alarm list.

The image below shows an example of a completely configured Ack Shown Editor dialog.

Note: If one or more filters have been applied to the alarm list, if you are not logged on to the application, or if you are viewing the History list, this button will be disabled.

The elements of the Ack Shown graphic editor dialog are described below.

Ack Shown Button Elements

Name

Required to associate this button with an existing alarm list.  This must be a list that you have created.  For instructions, see: Alarm List.

Button Label

The text entered in this field will be displayed on button. Labels should be kept short and precise, as the length of the label ultimately determines the size of the button.

Note: The Tool Tips Label field (see below) is provided to enable you to enter a more lengthy description of the button's purpose.

Tool Tips Label

The Tool Tips Label field is used to enter the text that you wish to be displayed on this button's tool tip (which opens when the mouse pointer is rested on this button).
