The active alarm list displays non-trip alarms whose trigger tag's value is still in violation of the alarm tag's setpoint value, whether the alarm has been acknowledged or not. In other words, active alarms are those alarms for which the condition that caused them to trigger still exists, whether the alarm has been acknowledged or not.
Note: Trip alarms are not included in the list of active alarms.
There is no defined number of maximum records for the active list. Only one instance for each alarm can be active at once, therefore, entries can never exceed the number of alarms that have been configured for the application.
Each unacknowledged entry in the active alarm list will be highlighted in the color associated with the alarm, based on its priority. For example, the data for a critical alarm that is active but has not been acknowledged will be displayed in black text on a red background.
The text for any acknowledged alarms in the active alarm list will be displayed using the color associated with the alarm, based on its priority. For example, the data for a critical alarm that is active and has been acknowledged will be displayed in red text on a black background. The default colors configured for the alarm priority tags in your application are identified in Alarm List Colors.
Note: You can right-click on any alarm entry and choose the Properties option to access the properties of the alarm tag responsible for the alarm. In the case of child tags, the parent tag's properties will be displayed.
