Add Files

The Remote Configuration dialog enables you to add new files to your application. For example, if you've copied a background bitmap image file from another application and wish to adapt it for this application, you may do so.

1.   Add the new file to your application directory.

Making sure to place it in the appropriate sub-directory if necessary (for example, page files are to be saved within the application directory's "Pages" subdirectory.

2.   Run the application.

3.   [If security has been enabled] Logon to the application with a user account that has been granted all system privileges.

4.   Click the Configure button.

The Configuration Toolbox opens.

5.   Click the Remote Configuration button (labeled with a key).

The Remote Configuration dialog opens similar to the one shown below.

6.   Click the Add Files button.

The newly added files are found and listed in the Remote Configuration dialog. Each added file is marked Addition in the Locked For column.

7.   Update your Changes

   Click the Update All button to update all modifications and additions shown in the Remote Configuration dialog's list, or

   Select the added pages or resource items, and click the "Update Item" to update each on an individual basis. The "Locked By" and "Locked For" columns are cleared, indicating that the items have been updated.
