Alarm Page

VTS includes a built-in Alarm page, which is the interface that operators use to interact with the alarm system for your application. An example of the Alarm page is displayed below.

Note: VTS also includes a set of alarm tools that you may use to configure your own custom alarm displays. Information on these tools can be found in Alarm Tools Library ".

The default Alarm page is fully functional and completely developed for you. You need only create the basic I/O tags and alarm tags for the Alarm page to begin reporting alarm data.

Once an alarm has been triggered, the following events occur:

The area surrounding the alarm button in the Display Manager's title bar begins to flash.

    An alarm siren sounds.

A detailed alarm list entry will appear in the Current alarm list on the Alarm page.

To respond to an alarm, you (or any authorized user) can:

    Navigate to the Alarm page.

Acknowledge the alarm using the Ack button to acknowledge a selected alarm, or the Ack All button to acknowledge all alarms.

Correct the condition(s) that caused the alarm to occur.

The features of the alarm page are described in the following topics.
