Alarm priorities have default colors and descriptions associated with them, although the alarms in your application may have custom colors and descriptions, depending upon its configuration. These default colors and descriptions are configured in the default alarm priority tags that are included with every new VTS application (see: Alarm Priority Tags ). The table below lists the names of the default alarm priority tags, their descriptions, and their colors.

Alarm priority tags are associated with alarm tags using the Priority property (see Alarm Tag Type Properties: Actions Tab "). The built-in alarms for analog status tags are associated with alarm priorities using the High Alarm Priority and Low Alarm Priority spin boxes. The built-in alarms for digital status and pump status tags are associated with an alarm priority using the Alarm Priority drop-down list (see Digital Status Tag Type Properties: Alarm Setup Tab, and Pump Status Tag Type Properties: Alarm Setup Tab).
