Alarm Tab and Alarm Setup Tab

There are three common versions of the alarm or alarm setup tab. In tags such as analog or digital inputs, the alarm tab displays the alarms that are attached to that tag and provides shortcuts to add or remove alarm tags.

In tags such as the analog status and pump status, the alarm tab or alarm setup tab is used to configure the built-in alarm for that tag type. Two example images, showing the differences between two versions follow:

     

What the alarm tabs and the alarm setup tabs have in common is that, once fully configured, the value of the tag will be monitored by the alarm manager, and an alarm will be triggered when values go past a given setpoint.
