Many of the standard VTS tag types have similar or identical tabs on their tag properties folders. For example, all tags have an ID tab that contains properties that help to identify the tag and make it unique from all other tags in the system. All input and output tags feature an I/O tab that enables the user to specify the parameters that associate the tag with an I/O device.
