In the event that VTS has detected an error during the compile of your application, a Compiler Error dialog will be displayed. An example of a Compiler Error dialog is shown below.

The Compiler Error dialog summarizes the error, indicates the file in which the error was encountered, and identifies the token, line, and column for the error. For those with programming experience, the VTS Programmer’s Guide will offer assistance with interpreting such messages.
Clicking on the Go To Error button will cause the following text editor to open. This can be used to correct the problem in code.

This editor contains a button that allows you to enter special keys such as “F1” that could not normally be entered using a keypad.
Clicking the “AB” button opens the following dialog. Enter the key combination you want to add to the code, click on OK and the ASCII equivalent of those keys will be added to the program.
