VTS provides you with the tools to create custom a customized alarm display. These tools belong to the Alarm Tools library that can be accessed using the Libraries button in the Configuration Toolbox.

There are several important elements that you might want to include when you are creating a customized alarm display. There are also some optional elements that you might wish to consider to enhance the display for your operators. When creating a custom alarm display, it is recommended that you take the following points into consideration:

•    What purpose will the custom alarm display serve (i.e. is it supplemental to the existing Alarm page, or is it intended to replace the existing default Alarm page)?

•    Will the custom alarm display be included on a page with other tools and elements, or will it appear on a page by itself?

•    Will the custom alarm page be a full-sized page or a windowed page?

•    What alarm display elements will the custom alarm display incorporate?

 

Once you have planned your alarm display, you can begin to construct it. The sections that follow indicate how to use the tools in the Alarm Tools Library to draw your own custom alarm display.
