With this option, you can save report data into a comma-separated value (CSV) file. The comma-separated value file format is easily imported by most database software.
To generate a report as a comma-separated value file:
1. Configure the report type, the tags whose data you wish included in the report, and the duration for the report. (If you need assistance in completing these tasks, please refer to Generating a Report.)
2. Select CSV File from the Output Type drop-down list.
3. [optional] Click the Browse button if you would like to save the report to a folder other than the application directory.
4. Enter a name for your text file in the File Name field.
5. Click the Save button.
You are returned to the Reports page where the path, file name, and extension you have configured for your text file appears in the File field.
6. Click the Run Report button.
You may send report data formatted as a CSV file as an e-mail attachment. See: E-mailing Reports.
Note: If you are accessing the VTS reports page using a VTS Internet Client (see Browsing VTS Applications on the Web), the path you specify for your report will be relative to your VIC's hard drive, rather than that of the VTS/IS upon which the application is running.
