1. Right-click the drawing method representing the basic I/O tag with which the alarm is associated.
2. Select the Properties shortcut menu option. The tag properties folder for the selected basic I/O tag opens.
3. Select the Alarm tab. The alarm tag(s) associated with the selected basic I/O tag are displayed.
4. Right-click the alarm tag you wish to disable. The tag properties folder for the selected alarm tag opens.
5. Select the Actions tab.
6. Set the Disable field's value to 1 for Disable, 0 for Enable.
7. Click the OK button.
Note: When you disable an alarm using the shortcut menu, the action is considered an operational change (as opposed to a configuration change). In other words, you may perform such an action while bypassing the VTS locking scheme. The change will immediately be propagated to all workstations running the application, regardless as to whether the application's primary configuration server is present or not. Information on operational and configuration changes is provided in Operational Changes vs. Configuration Changes ".
Note: Users must have the Alarm Disable, and Tag Modify system privileges granted to their user account to be able to disable alarms in this fashion. Information on system privileges can be found in System Privileges.
