Disable or Enable an Alarm Using the Tag Browser

Disable or Enable the Alarms for an Analog Status Tag

1.   Click the Configure button to open the Configuration Toolbox.

2.   Click the Browser button to open the Tag Browser.

3.   Select Analog Status from the Types drop-down list.

4.   Select the analog status tag whose alarms you wish to disable in the Tag Browser's list.

5.   Click the Properties button. The tag properties folder for the selected analog status tag will be displayed.

6.   Click the Alarm tab.

7.   Enter 1 to disable or a 0 to enable the alarm in the Disable Low Alarm field or in the Disable High Alarm field.

8.   Click the OK button. The tag properties folder will close.

9.   Close the Tag Browser. You will be returned to the Configuration Toolbox.

 

The disabled alarm(s) will be indicated by orange square(s) displayed on the analog status tag’s drawing method on its corresponding station page.

 

Disable or Enable the Alarms for a Digital Status or Pump Status Tag

1.   Click the Configure button to open the Configuration Toolbox.

2.   Click the Browser button to open the Tag Browser.

3.   Select Digital Status or Pump Status from the Types drop-down list.

4.   Select the tag whose alarm you wish to disable in the Tag Browser's list.

5.   Click the Properties button. The tag properties folder for the selected tag will be displayed.

6.   Click the Alarm Setup tab.

7.   Select the Alarm Disable checkbox to disable the alarm or un-select the checkbox to enable it.

8.   Click the OK button. The tag properties folder will close.

9.   Close the Tag Browser. You will be returned to the Configuration Toolbox.

 

I f disabled, the alarm(s) will appear in the Disabled list on the Alarm page, and if your application is based on the VTScada layer, the disabled alarm will be indicated by an orange square displayed on the digital status or pump status tag’s drawing method on its corresponding station page.

 

Disable or Enable an Alarm Tag Using the Tag Browser

 

1.   Click the Configure button to open the Configuration Toolbox.

2.   Click the Browser button to open the Tag Browser.

3.   Select Alarm from the Types drop-down list.

4.   Select the alarm tag you wish to disable in the Tag Browser's list.

5.   Click the Properties button. The tag properties folder for the selected alarm tag will be displayed.

6.   Click the Actions tab.

7.   Enter 1 in the Disable Alarm field.

8.   Click the OK button. The tag properties folder will close.

9.   Close the Tag Browser. You will be returned to the Configuration Toolbox.

If disabled, the alarm will appear in the Disabled list on the Alarm page.

 

Note: Users must have the Alarm Disable, Tag Modify, and Configure system privileges granted to their user account to be able to disable alarms in this fashion. Information on system privileges can be found in System Privileges.
