When you initially select (or manually enter the URL for) a VTS application page or attempt to run a script application from your web browser, the VTS/IS attempts to transmit the ActiveX component to your VIC. This download will also be attempted if the server has a newer version of the VTS/IC component than is already installed on your VIC machine. The Security Warning dialog shown below may open before the ActiveX component is installed on your VIC machine.

This dialog is a digital certificate that assures that the ActiveX component you are about to download comes from Trihedral, and has not been altered or modified since it was created and signed. Click the Yes button to proceed with the download.
While the ActiveX component is downloading, the default component loading page shown below is displayed.

This secondary window created to download the ActiveX object may be displayed briefly or for some time, depending on the speed of the connection and whether or not the ActiveX component is already installed on this VIC. As you can see from the example above, the default component loading window displays the VTS logo and a scrolling marquee while the ActiveX component is being installed.
Note: It is possible to customize the default component loading page for your needs. Instructions appear in Customization of the Default Component Loading Window.
The Security Warning dialog and default component loading window shown above are displayed only once on your VIC, as the ActiveX component need only be downloaded once, unless a newer version of the component becomes available.
Once the ActiveX component is downloaded, the default component loading window closes, and a secondary window displaying an application page is displayed. An example is shown below.

As described in Security Privileges Related to VTS Internet Clients, in order to view standard VTS applications, your user account must have at least the "Internet Client" privilege.
