To draw an ellipse, select the ellipse button from the configuration toolbox or from the page context menu.

Step 1: Set the size, location and type
You will be prompted to define the size and location of the arc by selecting two points on the page. As illustrated in the following diagram, these two points define both the location and the size of the curve to use for the arc, based on an imaginary bounding box with corners at the two pick locations.
The arc’s type may be either circular or elliptical depending on whether or not the imaginary bounding box is square or not. To create a square bounding box, and therefore a circle, hold the shift key down on your keypad while dragging the mouse between the first point and the second.

Step 2: Define the appearance using the VTS Graphic Editor
As soon as the ellipse has been placed on the screen, the dialog box shown below will be displayed. Simply selecting the box labeled "OK" will result in an ellipse of default color, line style and line weight being created.
