To draw an arc, select the arc button from the configuration toolbox or from the page context menu.

Step 1: Set the size, location and type
You will be prompted to define the size, location and type of the arc by selecting two points on the page. As illustrated in the following diagram, these two points define both the location and the size of the curve to use for the arc, based on an imaginary bounding box with corners at the two pick locations.
The arc’s type may be either circular or elliptical depending on whether or not the imaginary bounding box is square or not. To create a square bounding box, and therefore a circular arc, hold the shift key down on your keypad while dragging the mouse between the first point and the second.

Step 2: Set the start and end angles
After completing the first step, you will be prompted to indicate two points on the screen that will be used to define the arc’s beginning and ending angles. Note that there is no user interface to allow you to type in the angles. The following image illustrates the procedure:

Step 3: Define the appearance using the VTS Graphic Editor
The VTS Graphic Editor will open, providing you with options for defining the arc’s appearance. The menu of choices is displayed in the following images. Note that you want to draw an arc with just the default coloring etc. you need not use the graphic editor and can simply press the OK button to accept the defaults. For more information on using the Graphic Editor, please refer to Using the VTS Graphic Editor.
