Drawing a Roster Tag on the Call-out List Page

Once you have completed configuring a roster tag, you may draw it on the Call-out List page using the Make Active tag drawing method. The completed button will be the means by which the roster can be activated. To draw a roster tag using the Make Active drawing method, follow the steps below.

1.   Click the Configure button to open the Configuration Toolbox.

2.   Open the Call-out List page using the menu.

3.   Open the Tag Browser.

4.   Select Roster from the Types drop-down list. The Tag Browser will filter the list of available tags to display all the roster tags for your application.

5.   Select the first roster tag you wish to draw.

6.   Click the Tag Browser's Draw button. The drawing methods for roster tags will be displayed.

7.   Click the Make Active drawing method.  A sample button will be attached to the cursor. 

8.   Place this on the Call-Out List page. The VTS Graphic Editor will open similar to the example shown below.

9.   Enter a label for the button in the Button Label field. This label should reflect the associated roster (e.g. Weekend Roster).

10. Click the OK button. The dialog will close, and the button will be displayed using the label you entered.

11. Continue steps 5 to 10, until you have drawn all the roster tags on the Call-out List page.

12. Close the Tag Brower when you have finished drawing roster tags on the Call-out List page.

13. Close the Configuration Toolbox to place the application in operational mode.

The completed Call-out List page will now include a button representing each roster tag, including the Default Call-Out Off tag. To activate a roster, click on the appropriate button. The system will now contact the operators associated with the active roster when alarms have gone unacknowledged for a defined period of time.

If you do not wish the Alarm Dialer system to contact operators at this time, click on the button representing the Default Call-Out Off roster tag.
