E-Mail Options

The E-Mail Options button opens the following dialog, which configures e-mail options for both the alarm dialer and the reports generator.

Note: to use the e-mail features of VTS, you must have a third-party e-mail server available. VTS does not include an email server.

E-Mail Server In this field, you can tell VTS where to find the SMTP e-mail server installed on your system. This information should be available from your system administrator.

E-Mail From Address The text you fill in here will be used in the FROM: field of all emails sent by the system. Note that some email servers will check that this is a valid email address and will reject the message if it is not.

Username Use if (and only if) your SMTP e-mail server requires user authentication.

Password As with Username, use this field if (and only if) your SMTP e-mail server requires user authentication.
