Question: When I try to run my remote application on my clients, it simply will not run.
A: If you encounter such a situation, it is possible that either your files, or your tags, or both your files and your tags have become corrupted. It is necessary to retrieve fresh data from the server. The steps below are provided to assist you in doing so.
1. Stop the application on all clients.
2. Click the Remove button on all clients. When prompted as to whether you wish to delete the application directory and all of its files, click the Yes button; clicking the Yes button will permanently delete your application and all of its resources from your PC. (In this situation, you will be retrieving a non-corrupted copy of the application from the server (as outlined in the steps below)).The application and all its resources, is permanently deleted your PC.
3. Stop the application on the server.
4. Run the application on the server.
5. Select the application in the VAM's Available Applications list on the server.
6. Click the Properties button. The Application Properties dialog opens.
7. Select both the "Force Clients to Synchronize: Files" and the "Force Clients to Synchronize: Tags" checkboxes.
8. Run the application on the server.
9. Perform a Get From Server operation on all clients. Note: If you are unfamiliar with the Get From Server process, please refer to "3: The VTS Application Manager: Add an Existing Networked Application From a Server to the VAM".
10. Run the application on all clients.
