The Select Brush dialog provides a spin box that enables you to select a number corresponding to a fill pattern that will be applied to your completed geometric object. There are 25 distinct fill patterns from which you may choose. These are identified in the table below.

The Set Foreground Color and Set Background Color radio buttons at the top of the Select Brush palette enable you to set the foreground color for an object that will have a patterned fill, and the background color for an object that will have a patterned fill.
