Limits the display to only those tags whose name matches the search string you have entered.
A search string can consist of the full name of the tag, or parts of the name of the tag combined with the asterisk (*) wild card character. You may use the asterisk to stand for any combination of characters (i.e. * = 0 or more of). For example:
A* All tag names that contain an A as their first character are displayed.
*A* All tag names that contain one or more of instances of the letter A are displayed.
*A All tag names that contain an A as their last character are displayed.
Display only those tags that have been configured with the selected area. Only one area at a time can be selected from the drop-down list.
Display only those tags whose description matches the search string you have entered. The asterisk (*) wildcard character can be used to widen the search. Wildcard examples can be found under Filter by Name.
Display only those tags whose data type matches the selected data type. This can be one of:
All: All analog, digital, and notebook tags will be considered when the Tag Selection list is being filtered.
AnalogDataSource: Only tags with analog values will be considered when the Tag Selection list is being filtered.
DigitalDataSource: Only tags with digital values will be considered when the Tag Selection list is being filtered.
NotebookDataSource: Only notebook tags will be considered when the Tag Selection list is being filtered.
Display only tags of the selected tag type. This list is associated with the Filter by Data Source Type list; once a data source type has been selected (e.g. AnalogDataSource), the entries in the Filter by Tag Type drop-down list will display the tag types whose data type matches the selected data source (e.g. All, Analog Input, Analog Output, Calculation, Function) enabling you to further filter the Tag Selection list.
Display only those tags whose field matches the selected field.
Some tags have more than one value logged by an application. For example, driver tags collect information such as Errors, Quality and Response Time. By setting the Field to filter for something other than Value, only those tags that have logged the selected data field will be displayed.
All of the tags that match the filter selection, and that can be plotted in the HDV are displayed in the list following the filters.
If your intention is to select individual tags that should be plotted, choose them from this list.
If you are creating a query, this list is a preview of all the tags that the query will find.
