The Find Servers dialog displays the names of one or more servers (according to your selection in the Add Server dialog), and a summary of the status of the available networked VTS applications, along with notification as to whether any of the remote applications on a workstation are currently running.

Some of the status messages you may encounter are described below.
• X Available (X Running)An X Available (X Running) status message indicates that the associated server has the specified number of remote applications available, some of which are currently running.
• X Available (None Running) An X Available (None Running) status message indicates that the associated server has a number of remote applications available, however, none are currently running.
• None Available A None Available status message indicates that the associated server has no remote applications whatsoever.
• Unavailable An Unavailable status message indicates that the associated server is currently unavailable for scanning.
For example, as you can see in the example above, the workstation named, "RDAVIES" has 4 available remote applications, one of which was running at the time the scan was done.
The Find Servers dialog contains the following 3 buttons:
• Rescan The Rescan button enables you command VTS to rescan the selected server(s) and refresh their status information so that the current status of remote applications is displayed for each server.
• Inquire The Inquire button enables you to select a server and view details about that server's remote applications in the Applications Available On dialog (further information on the Applications Available On dialog can be found in the section that follows).
• Cancel The Cancel button is a toggle button that enables you to stop a scan at any time, or to close the Find Servers dialog when it is not currently scanning the selected workstations.
When VTS is in the process of scanning one or more servers, this button is labeled Stop and can be clicked to stop the ongoing scan.
When VTS has completed a scan or has been stopped mid-scan, this button is labeled Cancel and can be clicked to cancel the operation and close the Find Servers dialog.
Once you locate the server upon which the application you wish to retrieve is located, you can select that server in the Find Servers dialog and click the Inquire button. The Applications Available On dialog opens and displays more detailed information about the remote applications available on the selected server, such as their name and type. The Applications Available On dialog is described in the section that follows.
Note: A complete set of instructions on retrieving a remote application from a server can be found in Retrieving Remote Applications from a Server.
