Logon Button

The Logon button that appears in the Display Manager's title bar is the admission point to the Security Manager's dialogs. Users must first logon to their user account in order to be given access to their user privileges and to the Security Manager dialogs that have been enabled according to their user privileges.

Clicking the Logon button results in one of two actions:

On your local workstation, if there is no user logged on to the application, clicking the Logon button opens the Please Logon dialog (see Please Logon Dialog); or

If an operator is currently logged on to the application on this workstation, clicking the Logon button (which will display the current user’s name) opens the Options dialog (see Options Dialog).

The Logon button has a changeable label that reads "Logon" if no operator is currently logged on to the application, or identifies the username of the operator currently logged on to the application.
