Making a User Draw Method from Selected Objects

Creating a DM (user draw method) by selecting objects on a page is the simplest method.

Having drawn a collection of tags and graphical objects that all relate to a common purpose, you may decide that these items will be useful in other instances.  To create a DM, follow these steps.

1.   Select the objects

2.   Right click on any one of them to open the context menu.

3.   Select Group from the menu

4.   Provide a name for the drawing method in the dialog box.

5.   Click on the OK button.

 

The objects on the page will be automatically replaced by an instance of the new DM and the Drawing Method Editor window will open to allow you to make any changes you might want to your new DM (see: Editing a User Draw Method).
