Each new application you create initially runs in an unsecured state. VTS is configured in this fashion to enable you to quickly and conveniently develop your new applications without having to logon each and every time the application is run. This gives you free access to all the application development tools.
Once you are ready to logon to the application for the first time, you can use the default user account that is available to every newly created application. This default user account username is "Manager1" and the password is "Manager1".
The first time you logon to the new application using the Manager1 account, the security system for the application becomes enabled, and your access to the tools and objects provided by VTS becomes limited according to the default privileges granted to the Manager1 account. Once you've used the Manager1 user account security becomes activated and every successive time you run the application, you will be required to logon.
The only user privilege granted to the default Manager1 account is the "Manager" privilege, which gives you the privilege to view and modify user accounts; therefore, when you've logged on, you can use the Manager1 account to grant yourself a full complement of user privileges so that you can continue to develop the application.
Once you have created a set of users, and defined their access privileges, you must change the Manager1 password to ensure security. Many VTS developers will delete the Manager1 default account once the development of the application is complete (always ensure first that you have created at least one account with the ability to grant privileges).
