Modify Password Dialog

When a user with the Account Modify privilege clicks the Password button that appears on the Options dialog, the Security Manager's Modify Password dialog opens.

This dialog enables users to change their own password. This feature is useful when you are initially setting up user accounts for an application; you can set up temporary generic passwords for operators and then have each of the operators logon and enter their own secure password. User passwords can also be changed using the Modify Account dialog (see Modify Account Dialog).

You can set a minimum length for passwords, as well as choose one of three password display options using the Administrative Settings dialog (see Administrative Settings Dialog), or the SecurityManager.ini configuration file (see "VTS Programmer's Guide: Configuration Files and Variables: Introduction to SecurityManager.ini").
