Note that this dialog does not provide a way to set the value of the parameter. Parameter values are supplied to an instance of a page when it is drawn and can be set in one of two ways:
• When the page is first opened while in run mode, you will be prompted for values to supply to the parameters on that page.
• By clicking the parameters button in the menu editor, you can set or edit how values are supplied to the parameters of the selected page. See: Edit the Parameter Values of a Page.

Name: The name of the parameter
Description: A description of the parameter. Optional, but highly recommended.
Type: The data type for the parameter. The data type of a parameter must match its intended use. For example, if you plan to use a parameter for the scaling of a drawing object, only numeric parameters will be available to select from.
Select Tag Type: Select Tag Type is used only when the parameter is a Tag Type. This list does not include tag groups, but only specific tag types. If you use it to indicate that your parameter is a tag of type Analog Input, you cannot later select an Analog Status to provide the data for an instance of that parameter.
