The ID tab includes the properties required to identify this tag. The Name, Area, Description, and Help Search Key properties always appear on the ID tab for all standard tag types.

Note: A notebook tag properties folder has only one configurable tab. Notes that are added to the Historical Data Viewer page and are associated with a notebook tag are stored in an encrypted binary file with the same name as the name configured for the notebook tag, and the extension *.DAT. A log file (*.LOG) with the same name keeps track of the entries for the notebook.
