Operator Notes Page

The Operator Notes page provides a location for users to enter comments about the application and its equipment on an as-needed basis. The date, time, and the username of the operator who was logged on to the application when the note was composed are automatically recorded at the top of each entry. These Operator Notes are stored in an encrypted binary file that, for security purposes, cannot be edited and may only be read using the Operator Notes page.

Add Note

The Add Note button opens the Add Note dialog that enables you to type a message to be displayed on the Operator Notes page. Instructions on adding a note to the Operator Notes page are provided in Adding a Note to the Operator Notes Page.

Print

The Print button enables you to print the currently displayed notes to the default printer configured under your Windows operating system. Instructions on printing the Operator Notes page are provided in Printing the Notes Displayed on the Operator Notes Page.

Previous

The Previous button enables you to navigate backward through operator notes entered in the past.

Date

The Date field displays the date associated with the notes you are currently viewing.

Next

The Next button enables you to navigate forward through operator notes up to the present date if you have used the Previous button to navigate through the note history.

 Note:  In a remote application, while operator notes are synchronized between workstations like any other data, they are read only from the local machine.  In the event that the file is lost or corrupted on a client workstation, you should copy the file from the server to that client computer in order to be able to read the notes again.
