Options Dialog

The Options dialog is opened when a user is logged on to the system and the Logon button is clicked. The Options dialog features a series of buttons that enable access to further features and dialogs of the Security Manager. The presence of the buttons on the Options dialog (and therefore the accessibility of the related features and security dialogs) varies depending upon the privileges of the user who is logged on.

The buttons (and the related security features) that appear on the Options dialog vary according to the privileges of the user who is logged on.  All users will have access to the Logoff button and Cancel button regardless of their privileges.

 

Logoff                                   Enables users to logoff of the application. All users have access to the Logoff button, regardless of their privileges.

Password                              Opens the Modify Password dialog that enables users to change the password for their own security account. Users must have the Account Modify privilege in order to access the Modify Password dialog.

My Privileges                     Opens the My Privileges dialog that enables users to view a read-only list of the privileges that have been granted to their user account. Users must have the Account View privilege in order to access the My Privileges dialog.

Users                                     Opens the Accounts dialog that enables users to configure user accounts (add, copy, modify, and delete user accounts). Users must have the Manager privilege in order to access the Accounts dialog.

All Privileges                     Opens the Privileges dialog that displays a list of all user accounts and the privileges that have been granted to each. The Privileges dialog also enables authorized users to modify the privileges that have been granted to all user accounts. Users must have the Manager privilege in order to access the All Privileges dialog.

Options                                Opens the Administrative Settings dialog that enables users to modify security settings related to security administration (e.g. required password length, auto-logoff time period, etc.). Users must have the Administrator privilege in order to access the Administrative Settings dialog.

Cancel                                  Close the Options dialog. All users have access to the Cancel button, regardless of their privileges.
