Analog status, digital status, and pump status tags have built-in alarm capabilities that provide all the features of the alarm tag. The existence of the built-in alarms does not prevent you from adding your own alarm tags to these status tags. You can then either disable the built-in alarm, thereby overriding it, or leave the built-in alarm enabled, thus adding to the built-in features.
The following steps show how to disable a built-in alarm, thereby overriding it in favor of a separate alarm tag that you have configured.
Analog Status Tag:
1. Open the tag’s configuration folder.
2. Select the Alarm tab
3. Ensure that a 1 is entered for the alarms you want to disable, as shown:

4. Click OK.
5. Configure the alarm tag that is to override this status tag.
Digital Status Tag and Pump Status Tag:
1. Open the tag’s configuration folder.
2. Select the Alarm Setup tab
3. Ensure that the Alarm Disable checkbox is selected.

4. Click OK
5. Configure the alarm tag that is to override this status tag.
