Questionable Data and Tag Drawing Methods

Each new input or output tag you create has its Questionable Data flag turned on by default. The result is that every drawing method associated with the input or output tag will display a question mark to indicate that the tag’s data must be validated to ensure that the value being reported by the tag is accurate.

The Color Fill (tank level) and Numeric (tank pressure) drawing methods shown above demonstrate what the question mark will look like.

To set the Questionable Data property of a tag, within its configuration panel, look for (depending on the tag type) a tab labelled Merit or Quality (see: Merit Tab and Quality Tab).

It is not recommended that you change the value of the Questionable Data property until you've commissioned the system by ensuring that the value of the equipment and the value reported by each tag are correct. Once you have done so, you can remove the questionable data indicator by changing the value of the tag's Questionable Data property directly in the tag properties folder, or by using the tag's shortcut menu. The shortcut menu can be opened by right-clicking on the tag's drawing method while the application is in operation mode.
