Release Lock Privilege

Scope                                    Remote Application Configuration

If Granted                           Enables operators to release the locks on resource items for remote applications using the Remote Configuration dialog.

Notes                                    The Release Lock privilege applies to remote applications only.

Related Privileges            Configure Privilege

                                                The Remote Configuration dialog cannot be accessed without the Configure privilege; therefore, the Configure privilege and the Release Lock privilege must be granted together.

                                                Lock Item Privilege

                                                Remove File Privilege

                                                Rollback Privilege

                                                Update Privilege

                                                When the Release Lock privilege has been granted, the Release Lock button on the Remote Configuration dialog is enabled; however, operators will not be able to lock, remove, rollback, or update resource items using the Remote Configuration dialog without the above privileges.
