The replica tag database (SCT.mdb) contains copies of the data stored in the tag properties database ("Points.mdb"). "SCT.mdb" contains a baseline copy of tags (an unedited server version), and compares it to the tag properties database to detect and handle offline changes to the tag properties database.
Note: It is not recommended that you modify the replica tag database directly as it is strictly for use by VTS; you should never edit SCT.mdb
Replica Tag Database Regeneration
In the event that a remote application is experiencing client synchronization problems, you can command VTS to regenerate a client's replica tag database using the server's copy (see "13: Networking: Remote Configuration and the VTS Locking Scheme: Force Synchronization of Client Data with Configuration Server Data").
