Running an Application

Applications are started and stopped from the VAM. It is recommended that you run only one standard application at a time. Running multiple script applications, including the utility applications included with VTS (i.e. Debugger, ODBC Browser, Database Conversion Utility, etc) is acceptable.

There are two methods that can be used to run an application: using the Run button, or by double-clicking the application in the Available Applications list.

Run an Application Using the Run Button

The Run/Stop toggle button performs the actions of running stopped applications and stopping running applications.

To run an application, simply select it in the VAM's Available Applications list and click the Run button.

Run an Application by Double-clicking

You can also run an application by selecting its name in the VAM's Available Applications list and double-clicking it.

Once a selected application has loaded and while it is running, the Run/Stop button is labeled Stop whenever the application is selected in the Available Applications list.

Note: Remember: you should run only one standard VTS application at a time. Multiple VTS script applications (including the utility applications that are included with the VTS software) may be run simultaneously.
