These two drop-down lists are used to filter the Tags Available list. The Types list will change automatically according to the Report Type chosen. Each report type is programmed to know its own best tag type and will automatically select for that. You may override this automatic selection to further filter the list, but be careful to select only tag types that are compatible with the report type.
For example, both analog input tags and analog status tags (among others) are part of the Trenders group. If running a Standard report, which sets the types list to Trenders, you may filter the selection further by setting the types list to display only analog status tags.
The Areas drop-down list allows you to filter the tags available to show only those configured with a given area. While you can filter for only one area at time, you can select tags from multiple areas by filtering for one, selecting the tags, then filtering for another and so on.
The Tags In Report list displays those tags upon whose data the selected report is to be based. Above the Tags In Report list, to the right of its label, appears a count of the number of tags appearing in the list.
• The Tags In Report list is initially empty; you can select specific tags from the Tags Available list and move them to the Tags In Report list for inclusion in the selected report using the arrow buttons that appear between the two lists:
• The < arrow button moves a single selected tag, or group of selected tags from the Tags Available list to the Tags In Report list.
• The << arrow button moves all tags from the Tags Available to the Tags In Report list.
• The > arrow button moves a single selected tag, or group of selected tags from the Tags In Report list to the Tags Available list.
• The >> arrow button moves all tags in the Tags In Report list back to the Tags Available list.
Note: You can use the Shift and Control (Ctrl) keys on your keyboard to select multiple tags for transfer between the Tags In Report list and the Tags Available list:
• The Shift key on your keyboard enables you to select a group of consecutive tags in the Tags In Report list. Simply select the first tag, hold down the Shift key, and then select the last tag; all tags between the first selected tag and last selected tag will be selected.
• The Ctrl (Control) key on your keyboard enables you to select a number of non-consecutive tags in the Tags In Report list. Simply hold down the Ctrl key, and select the tags you require; only those tags you click will be selected.
The Tags Available list displays the tags whose data is available for inclusion in your report, according to the selected report type, and the selected Area (if an Area has been selected). Above the Tags Available list, to the right of its label, appears a count of the number of tags appearing in the list.
