Serial Port Tags
The serial port tag type opens an RS-232 connector port for use by a driver. The transmit and receive buffer lengths are fixed at 16384 bytes. Likewise, the RTS and DTR parameters of the ComPort statement are fixed at 1.
Note: Serial port tags may use the same port for different purposes on 2 different PCs. This is achieved by the re-use of serial ports on backup machines in remote applications.
