A VTS Internet Server that is installed on a workstation configured for read-only access will provide read-only VIC connections. This may be a useful feature for utilities that wish to allow a public view of their operations while ensuring that no-one may use the connection to operate any control.
Note that, in a multi-server environment, any server configured for this purpose should be set to Legacy mode to prevent automatic fail-over to a server located on a worstation that is not configured for read-only access.
