The Silence Button tool is used to provide a button that can be clicked to silence the alarm sound associated with the most recent unacknowledged alarm that has occurred in your system.
Note: The Alarm Tools library also includes a Mute Button tool that enables you to mute all alarm sounds (see Mute Button).
The image below shows an example of the Silence Button Editor dialog.

The result of the above configuration is a button labeled, "Silence" that can be clicked to silence the alarm sound associated with the alarm selected in the alarm list associated with this button. When the mouse pointer is paused over this button, a tool tip will open and display the text, "Silence alarms".
Note: If one or more filters have been applied to the alarm list, if you are not logged on to the application, or if you are viewing the History list, this button will be disabled.
