Selecting the Text File option in the Output Type drop-down list enables you to generate a report as a text file.
To generate a report as an unformatted text file:
5. Configure the report type, the tags whose data you wish included in the report, and the duration for the report. (If you need assistance in completing these tasks, please refer to Generating a Report.)
6. Select Text File from the Output Type drop-down list.
7. [optional] Click the Browse button if you would like to save the report to a folder other than the application directory.
8. Enter a name for your text file in the File Name field.
9. Click the Save button. You are returned to the Reports page where the path, file name, and extension you have configured for your text file appears in the File field.
10. Click the Run Report button.
Note: The Text File output option is the only output format that enables you to transmit report data in the body of an e-mail message rather than as an attachment. See: E-mailing Reports.
Note: If you are accessing the VTS reports page using a VTS Internet Client (see Browsing VTS Applications on the Web), your report will print to the default printer as configured under the VIC's Windows operating system.
