The components of the Realms tab are as follows. Note that there is no “remove realm” button. To get rid of a realm, remove all the applications attached to it. When the last application is removed, the realm will be deleted.

(Click title to expand text)
Allows you to select an existing realm. Immediately below of the Realm drop-down list, the protocol and port configuration of the selected realm is displayed.
Opens the Add Realm dialog where you can configure a new realm.

It is recommended that the name be a single word and not contain punctuation symbols. The name must conform to both VTS and HTTP naming conventions, therefore the simpler, the better.
HTTP might not be enabled in every case. You might want to create a realm but not grant immediate access to it. Also, a realm could be configured for only WAP access.
The Port Number will usually be the standard HTTP port, 80. Your IT department will be able to tell you if this is not the case.
The SSL checkbox will be enabled only if SSL security has been configured.
The Max Clients field allows you to balance your VIC licenses between configured realms. For example, if you have 5 licenses, you might wish to ensure that no realm can have more than three clients, thus leaving at least 2 licenses available for the other realm. Please see VTS/IS License Clusters for more information on managing your licenses.
WAP is for telephone and other hand-held device access. Use of this feature required extensive configuration of your application. Please see Providing WAP Content for information.
Opens a window that is identical to the Add Realm dialog except that you cannot change the name of a realm. Rather than change a realm’s name, you must create a new one and delete the old.
See Add (Realm) for a description of the dialog’s fields.
If you have configured the Secure Sockets Layer protocol to encrypt data that is transferred over the SSL connection, then you can enable or disable that protection for this realm using the SSL checkbox.
Displays the VTS applications that have been configured for the realm selected in the Realm drop-down list.
The Move Selected arrows enable you to change the position of the selected VTS application in the Applications Available On list. The order of the applications is significant since the first application in the Applications Available On list is the default application and controls the username and password that operators must use when connecting to a realm.
The Add Application button enables you to add VTS applications to the selected realm using the Add Application dialog.

The Remove button enables you to remove the selected application from the current realm.
