Update Privilege

Scope                                    Remote Application Configuration

If Granted                           Enables operators to update changes made to resource items using the Remote Configuration dialog.

Notes                                    The Update privilege applies to remote applications only.

Related Privileges            Configure Privilege

                                                The Remote Configuration dialog cannot be accessed without the Configure privilege; therefore, the Configure privilege and the Update privilege must be granted together.

                                                Lock Item Privilege

                                                Remove File Privilege

                                                Release Lock Privilege

                                                Rollback Privilege

                                                When the Update privilege has been granted, the Update Item and Update All buttons on the Remote Configuration dialog are enabled; however, operators will not be able to lock, remove, release, or rollback resource items using the Remote Configuration dialog without the above privileges.
