User Draw Methods

A DM (user drawing method) is a collection of objects that you can use as a single item in your applications.  The objects used in a DM can be any combination of graphics and tag drawing methods.

Objects that have been joined together into a DM can then be used as a single item. It can be drawn it as many times as needed, scaled as a whole and aligned with other objects without any concern that interior objects might move out of place.

If the original objects include tag drawing methods, then each subsequent time that you draw the DM, you will have the option of selecting new tags to be used.  For example, you can create a pump control DM that includes I/O tags for monitoring the pump's status and flow rate, controls for operating the pump, and an alarm indicator.  Each time you draw this DM, you can select the tags for a different pump.  This process can greatly simplify the process of building a large application with many similar equipment installations.
